Each year approximately 1000 adult volunteers provide program and membership opportunities for girls in the Girl Scouts of Otahki Council.

The rewards of being an adult volunteer are both direct and indirect. Whether you volunteer for an hour, a day, or on a regular basis-you will feel great knowing you have helped a girl to "grow courageous and strong".

There are many ways to volunteer in Girl Scouting. For girls to participate in Girl Scouts they need the guidance of concerned caring adults. The Girl Scouts of Otahki Council can create a volunteer opportunity that fits your lifestyle and interests.

Below are just a few examples of volunteer opportunities with the Girl Scouts of Otahki Council:

  • Troop/Group Leader or Co-leader
  • Event Coordinator
  • Driver/Chaperone for troop activities
  • Trainer
  • First-aider
  • Badge or Program
  • Consultant
  • Cookie Sale Chair
  • Board/Committee Member
  • Fund Raiser
  • Community Service Manager
  • Service Center Volunteer

Whatever role you choose-group leader, mentor, fundraiser, or other type of volunteer role-you are helping girls grow strong in body, mind, and spirit.
