RESPONSIBLE TO:
Service Unit Manager
PRIMARY ROLE:
Provide leadership in the process of delivering Girl Scout program to
girls.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Become an adult member of the Girl Scouts of the U.S.A.
2. Believes in the mission and principles of the Girl Scout movement and
can interpret this to others.
3. Have the interest and desire to help girls.
4. Willing to spend sufficient time to carry out the responsibilities
of the position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Acquire training as required by the council: New Leader Orientation,
Basic Leadership, Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Girls 11-17 training
2. Register girls and adults, and maintain accurate troop/group records.
3. Plan regularly scheduled meetings in partnership with assistant leader,
troop committee, parents and girls.
4. Supervise the income and expenses resulting in accurate/legitimate
usage of troop/group monies.
5. Support the efforts of the council in its fund development and participate
in council-wide product sales.
TERM OF OFFICE: One year. May serve successive terms.
