Council and Service
Unit recognitions are designed to show appreciation to the adult volunteers
who have given exceptional service to Girl Scouting. Volunteers nominate
outstanding adults who have contributed over and above the expected level
of service. Recognitions are presented during a special event each spring.
Council and Service
Unit nomination forms and other information concerning recognitions may
be obtained from your Service Unit Manager, Membership Specialist or from
the Service Center.

SERVICE
UNIT RECOGNITIONS
Outstanding Volunteer
- Given to an adult who is serving in a position other than a leader or
co-leader and who has performed a service which is of benefit to the Service
Unit and group, beyond the expectations of the position held. For more
information please review the Outstanding Volunteer Award Form.
Outstanding Leader - Recognizes an adult's service as a
group leader or co-leader who has completed required Girl Scout training
(Basic Leadership I, II) and whose performance is outstanding and merits
recognition by the service unit.
Partnership Award - To honor the Service Unit and the community
group who in partnership carried out an activity or project which resulted
in positive benefits for both.

COUNCIL
RECOGNITIONS
DEADLINE FOR ALL NOMINATIONS IS MARCH 1st.
Appreciation Pin
- Given for outstanding service above and beyond the expectations for
the position held. The service contributed is in one or more Service Units
by a registered adult who has been an adult member for a minimum of five
years.
Honor Pin - Recognition presented to an individual who has
been an adult Girl Scout for a minimum of seven years and has given outstanding
service in two or more Service Units above and beyond the expectations
of the position held.
Thanks Badge - Recognized service by an adult Girl Scout
who has been a registered adult member for a minimum of ten years, whose
service benefits the total council or the entire Girl Scout organization,
and is significantly above and beyond the expectations of the position
held.
Thanks II Badge -Recognition awarded to candidate who has
continued to serve the council or the national organization at the same
high level of performance for an extended period of time since receipt
of the Thanks Badge. The candidate's sphere of influence has increased
since receipt of the Thanks Badge and has moved into another field of
endeavor.
Juliette Low Award - To recognize efforts of a Service Unit
to achieve the highest percent of girl members in relation to the girl
population of their area.
Leona Bunch Award - To recognize the efforts of a service
unit to achieve the highest retention rate of girls and adults as of September
30.
Dolly Aubuchon Award - To honor outstanding Service
Unit(s)
in the Council.
