Legacies and Bequests

Since its inception, Girl Scouts has been an influential force in the lives of nearly 50 million American women. Its ranks have been filled with girls and women who have gone on to achieve great success in a wide variety of professions, including politics, medicine, the arts, publishing, science, sports and education. Many past Girl Scout members stressed that Girl Scouting helped them build self-confidence, moral values, an interest in volunteer activities and social conscience.

When you write - or rewrite - your will, consider a bequest to Girl Scouts of Otahki Council, Inc. There are many ways in which assets from your estate can pass under your will to the Girl Scouts:

  • You can direct that a specific dollar amount will go directly to the Girl Scouts;

  • You can designate a specific asset to be give to the Girl Scouts; or

  • You may specify a percentage of the value of your estate for the Girl Scouts.

As you make or revise your estate plans, please consider including a gift to Girl Scouts to ensure that girls and women will continue to celebrate their success stories for generations to come.

Become a member of the Girl Scouts of Otahki Council's
