The Girl Scouts of Otahki Council is proud of its progressive horse program for Girl Scouts. The Council  maintains a year-round stable of horses at Camp Cherokee Ridge and our newest facility at Camp Sacajawea. Horseback riding programs are available to groups at all times with the exception of deer hunting season in November.

Council Horse Coordinators train and schedule 
wranglers (horseback riding instructors) for troop, 
service unit, and council use. 

          To reserve the horses use the Service Unit or                       Troop Horse/Property reservation form.

Wrangler/riding fees are listed on the Property Reservation Form. There are no fees for overnight or daytime camping, but you should reserve property if you are combining horseback riding with camping or other outdoor activities.

Wranglers will work with each group to design a program that is suited for your Girl Scouts. Recognitions may be earned or recreational riding may be pursued, just for fun!
